our story

Together, Karen and Sarah bring the artspace creative vision to life. Their long-standing partnership is built on deep respect and understanding and this lies at the heart of every workshop, a dynamic that allows for deeper holding and a richer group experience.

Together, they create spaces that feel genuinely safe, attuned and responsive. Their presence as a duo brings an added layer of containment and care that can be felt in the room, enabling participants to drop into the process with greater trust and ease.

Each creative workshop is designed with intention: safe, responsive and deeply attuned from start to finish. Grounded in somatic and psychological principles, they offer more than just insight, they create the conditions for real transformation, reflection and connection.

Karen is an experienced Art Psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, with a deep grounding in trauma, nervous system education and creative therapeutic approaches. Her work blends art psychotherapy with somatic practices to help people reconnect with themselves, process stress and build emotional resilience. She works in private practice and has experience in schools  and complex care settings, always with a focus on creating safe, attuned and transformative spaces.

Before training as a therapist, Karen spent many years in the world of advertising, marketing and corporate design, including running her own graphic design business. This chapter shaped her creative thinking and gave her first-hand insight into the pressures and complexities of modern working life. Today, she integrates that experience with her therapeutic practice to create spaces that are both accessible and profoundly supportive, especially for professionals navigating high-stress environments.

Karen is known for being warm, insightful and deeply caring. Her approach is both intuitive and intelligent, shaped by a genuine curiosity for people’s stories and a deep respect for their capacity to heal and grow.
